Important Information - Browser Settings and Redirection

We want to make sure you get your application confirmation smoothly! To ensure it reaches you, please check that your browser allows pop-ups and automatic redirections from our website. It is also a great idea to add  the following email addresses to your "safe senders" list: stablestudios3747@gmail.com, hello@stablestudios.com.au and communication from @automations.ascendbywix.com. This ensures the email won't be blocked, or get lost in your spam folder and any market information reaches you.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for confirmations missed due to personal browser blocks or email filters, but we are always here to help if you get stuck! Please reach out to hello@stablestudios.com.au for assistance, after carrying out the above recommendations.

Stallholder Equipment

All stallholders must supply their own equipment, including but not limited to:

  • Marquee or stall structure, if required

  • Tables

  • Chairs

  • Display stands

  • Tablecloths

  • Lighting

  • Weights or suitable securing equipment

  • Extension leads or other power-related equipment, if approved

Stalls must not exceed their allocated site area. Please ensure your set-up is contained entirely within your allocated space and does not obstruct walkways, neighbouring stalls, entrances or exits.

Lighting Requirements

Stallholders must provide sufficient lighting for their stall.

Adequate lighting is important for:

  • Customer safety

  • Stallholder safety

  • Product visibility

  • Stall security

  • Creating a warm and inviting market atmosphere

We strongly recommend that stallholders use battery-powered LED lighting, particularly LED strip lighting, as it provides bright, even coverage and is generally easy to install.

Smaller battery-powered LED lights, lanterns or clip-on lights may also be useful for highlighting displays. Decorative fairy lights and lanterns are welcome, but these should be considered atmospheric lighting only and should not be relied upon as the main source of light.

All lighting must be:

  • Safely installed

  • Securely attached

  • Suitable for outdoor and evening market use

  • Set up before stock is displayed

  • Kept clear of walkways and customer access areas

We recommend testing your lighting set-up at home before the market to ensure it is bright enough and suitable for your stall layout.

Power & Electrical Safety

Unless otherwise confirmed by the organisers, stallholders should plan to use battery-powered lighting and equipment.

Any electrical items used on site must be safe, in good working order and compliant with relevant safety requirements.

The market organisers reserve the right to ask stallholders to remove or stop using any equipment that appears unsafe, unsuitable or likely to create a hazard.

Generators are not permitted within the main market area.

Bump-In & Unloading

Detailed bump-in and unloading information will be provided to stallholders prior to the event, once all stall sites have been allocated.

Stallholders are expected to follow the allocated bump-in times and any vehicle access instructions provided by the organisers.

Weather & Contingency Plan

Stallholders should come prepared for changing weather conditions and ensure their stall, stock and equipment are suitable for an outdoor evening market.

In the event of poor or unsafe weather, the market organisers will contact stallholders with any contingency arrangements. These may include changes to stall placement, layout, timing or other event logistics.

Stallholders are responsible for ensuring their own equipment is appropriately secured and suitable for the conditions.

Stall Presentation

Stallholders are expected to present their stall in a neat, safe and inviting manner.

All displays must be stable and safely arranged. Products, signage and equipment must remain within the allocated stall space at all times.

Please ensure your stall is attended throughout the market.

Products & Stallholder Responsibility

Stallholders are responsible for the quality, safety, pricing and presentation of their own products.

All items sold or displayed must be consistent with the goods described in the stallholder application. Any significant changes to your product range must be discussed with and approved by the organisers before the event.

Stallholders are responsible for ensuring that their products and business practices comply with any relevant laws, regulations, licences, permits or food safety requirements applicable to their business.

Waste & Pack-Down

Stallholders are responsible for removing all rubbish, packaging, stock and personal belongings from their stall area at the end of the market.

Please leave your allocated site clean and tidy following pack-down.

Conduct

Stable Studios hosts community-focused, artisan markets. Stallholders are expected to behave in a respectful, friendly and considerate manner towards customers, organisers, volunteers, neighbouring stallholders and the venue.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse participation, or ask a stallholder to leave the event, if these terms and conditions are not followed or if behaviour is considered unsafe, inappropriate or disruptive.

Public Liability Insurance

All stallholders are required to hold current public liability insurance in order to participate in Stable Studios markets.

Public liability insurance is a standard requirement for many Australian markets and events. Stallholders are responsible for researching and obtaining an insurance product that is appropriate for their business and activities.

Please provide a copy of your current Certificate of Currency when returning your signed Stallholder Agreement.

Your stall will not be confirmed until proof of current public liability insurance has been received.

Agreement & Payment

Once applications have closed, the Stable Studios team will review and curate applications for the market.

Successful applicants will be contacted and provided with a Stallholder Agreement and invoice for payment.

A stall is not confirmed until:

  • The Stallholder Agreement has been signed and returned

  • A current Certificate of Currency has been provided

  • Payment has been received in full

Payment must be received by the due date shown on the invoice. If payment is not received by the due date, the stallholder's offer may be withdrawn and the site offered to another applicant or someone on the waiting list.
