The Next Stitch workshop is a relaxed and supportive garment-making workshop for beginners, who have used a sewing machine before and are ready to build on the basics.

In this full-day workshop, you’ll make your own simple chore coat using the much-loved Ilford Jacket pattern by Friday Pattern Company. The Ilford is a relaxed, gender-neutral design that can be worn as a lightweight jacket, overshirt or everyday layering piece. For this workshop, we’ll focus on the simplest version of the pattern, so you can learn the foundations of garment construction in a calm and achievable way.
