About the event
BATCAT is a small collective of creatives within Beechworth and surrounds aiming to engage young people with art and get more creativity into the world, all the while keeping our values of sustainability close to heart.
What to expect
The sessions centre around beading and all the things that can be done with beads! All beads are sourced sustainably through op-shops and donations and they are up-cylcled into amazing new creations. This includes making jewellery, artworks, hand-stitching beaded designs and dressing up your household objects.
Sessions are fun and are catered to the particpants interest while keeping a gentle structure. The skill level required is catered to the age group, with Charles on hand to complete tricky adjustments. These sessions provide an opportunity for more advanced beading and jewellery making than the sessions for younger people.
There is a chill-out corner for breaks and snacks are provided, inlcuding home baked…
